This week, I&#8217;d like to introduce something new with a &#8220;Tweet of the Week&#8221; &#8211; that is, the favourite link I tweeted which I highly recommend that you have a read of. I hope this helps those of you who are time poor to have one good read a week. Of course, I recommend all my links! But I will try to pick out a favourite each week now.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Tweet of the Week<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/wildewmn.wordpress.com\/2012\/04\/03\/the-kick-me-sign\/\">The Kick-Me Sign<\/a>, a post by Nicole Wilde on her blog <a href=\"https:\/\/wildewmn.wordpress.com\/\">Wilde About Dogs<\/a>.<\/strong><br \/>\nIt was actually very difficult to choose a favourite tweet, but I selected Nicole&#8217;s because its actually changed the way I talk about dogs. \u00a0Working in boarding kennels, I often saw dogs that were, as Nicole puts it, sporting a &#8216;Kick Me Sign&#8217; &#8211; that is, regardless of circumstances, these dogs got picked on! \u00a0I&#8217;m glad to see that someone else has noticed this\u00a0phenomena. \u00a0I have started calling these dogs &#8216;Kick-Me Dogs&#8217; and, when I&#8217;ve used this term, other people have instantly got what I&#8217;ve been talking about! \u00a0Though this article is interesting in itself, it actually got awarded the &#8216;Tweet of the Week&#8217; for its long reaching consequences on my vocabulary.<\/p>\n<p>Now onto the other tweets!<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>South Australian Stuff<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is for cats, but I found a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=No-mXTPN1Bk\">lovely video about Jackie&#8217;s Second Chance Adoption Centre<\/a> in Reynella, South Australia. Jackie does a fantastic job.<\/p>\n<p>I found this cool greyhound get together or \u00a0social group in South Australia: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ggtsa.org\/\">Greyhound Get-Togethers SA<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.adelaidenow.com.au\/ipad\/south-australias-first-pet-graveyard-to-close-its-gates\/story-fn6bqpju-1226326670734\">South Australia&#8217;s first pet cementary to close its gates<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seminars\/Courses\/Learning<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I really enjoyed this video from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amrric.org\/\">AMRRIC<\/a> called &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/gigtv.rampms.com\/gigtv\/Viewer\/?peid=e6995bf5571f4989a20c003dda387a4c1d\">The Chromosome Cuckoo<\/a>&#8220;. \u00a0This seminar shows Dr Ted Donelan and Dr Elizabeth Murhcison talking about manifestation, genetic analysis, and treatment of canine transmissible veneral tumour. This is an extremely interesting tumour &#8211; it is one of only two contagious cancers. A worthwhile watch.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.vickiaustin.com.au\/\">Dog TAFE course<\/a> available from the talented Vicki &amp; Steve Austin in Sydney. Great for anyone with a thirst for knowledge.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Training and Behaviour<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Open invite!
