{"id":690,"date":"2011-12-07T09:07:30","date_gmt":"2011-12-06T22:37:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/leemakennels.com\/blog\/?p=690"},"modified":"2021-08-02T14:43:05","modified_gmt":"2021-08-02T04:13:05","slug":"myrtle-at-6-weeks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/leemakennels.com\/blog\/personal-posts\/myrtle-at-6-weeks\/","title":{"rendered":"Myrtle at 6 Weeks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are very happy to introduce Myrtle, our newest resident. \u00a0Myrtle is 6 weeks old and is the daughter of my Clover, out of a dog in Victoria. \u00a0She was born a singleton puppy, and we were lucky enough to find two 9-day-old puppies that have been her siblings. \u00a0Myrtle is 3 days younger than her foster-siblings.<\/p>\n<p>This mating has been a long time in the making, and so far, we are quite happy with the result.<\/p>\n<p>So here is a video of Myrtle, at 6 weeks (and 1 day) old doing some training. \u00a0It is mostly fun &#8211; we are playing tug. I was going to edit out the minute where she goes and entertains herself but that, in itself, is quite amusing. \u00a0She pretty much knows &#8216;sit&#8217; and &#8216;touch&#8217;, but and in this video we practice &#8216;give&#8217; (the tug toy back) and &#8216;drop&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/byWeQ3kpHi4\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>I was happy with this training session.
