{"id":829,"date":"2012-01-07T11:58:34","date_gmt":"2012-01-07T01:28:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/leemakennels.com\/blog\/?p=829"},"modified":"2021-08-02T14:53:12","modified_gmt":"2021-08-02T04:23:12","slug":"5-favourite-dog-blogs-of-2011","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/leemakennels.com\/blog\/personal-posts\/5-favourite-dog-blogs-of-2011\/","title":{"rendered":"5 Favourite Dog Blogs of 2011"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While <a href=\"http:\/\/rescuedinsanity.com\/2012\/01\/05\/eleven-must-reads-from-2011\/\">Rescued Insanity<\/a> compiled a lovely list of blog posts she enjoyed for the year, I&#8217;m sitting here cursing that I never composed such a list! \u00a0While I do post my favourite links, mostly blog posts, on<a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/macdogald\"> my Twitter account<\/a>, I can hardly\u00a0fathom\u00a0getting the number of my favourite blog posts down to an appropriate number to incorporate into one post. So please let me just promise that I&#8217;ll try harder next year.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, I thought I&#8217;d write a post on my favourite dog blogs of the year. \u00a0This is almost as an extraordinary feat, if you consider my blogroll length. However, I&#8217;ll try.<\/p>\n<p>Here we go:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.savingpets.com.au\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright \u00a0wp-image-830\" title=\"Screenshot of Saving Pets Website\" alt=\"Screenshot of Saving Pets Website\" src=\"http:\/\/leemakennels.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/Picture-8-300x138.png\" width=\"180\" height=\"83\" srcset=\"http:\/\/leemakennels.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/Picture-8-300x138.png 300w, http:\/\/leemakennels.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/Picture-8-1024x473.png 1024w, http:\/\/leemakennels.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/Picture-8.png 1264w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 180px) 100vw, 180px\" \/><\/a> <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.savingpets.com.au\/\">Saving Pets<\/a><\/strong>. \u00a0Written by <a href=\"http:\/\/petrescue.com.au\/\">PetRescue<\/a> founder, Shel, this blog constantly, and\u00a0edgily, challenges the shelter system in Australia. \u00a0The blog is\u00a0phenomenally\u00a0well researched, well presented, and relevant. \u00a0(On a side note, this blog is also responsible for almost everything I know about cats&#8230;) \u00a0I get excited when I see Saving Pets come up in my Google Reader, and I hope you enjoy reading as well.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/reactivechampion.blogspot.com\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-835\" title=\"Screenshot of Reactive Champion Website\" alt=\"Screenshot of Reactive Champion Website\" src=\"http:\/\/leemakennels.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/Picture-9-300x140.png\" width=\"180\" height=\"84\" srcset=\"http:\/\/leemakennels.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/Picture-9-300x140.png 300w, http:\/\/leemakennels.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/Picture-9-1024x479.png 1024w, http:\/\/leemakennels.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/Picture-9.png 1263w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 180px) 100vw, 180px\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/reactivechampion.blogspot.com\/\">Reactive Champion<\/a>.<\/strong>\u00a0 Crystal&#8217;s blog is more of a journey and dog training blog, no where near as specific as the title &#8216;Reactive Champion&#8217; makes out. \u00a0The diversity of topics is what I appreciate, and the time and effort evident in every one of Crystal&#8217;s post. \u00a0Crystal&#8217;s well thought-out and clear\u00a0explanations\u00a0explore a host of dog related issues, from dog training to dog medication to reactive behaviours. \u00a0What I really appreciate is the extensive notes that Crystal provides when she attend expos. Reactive Champion is very much &#8216;worth the read&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/intellidogs.com\/blog\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-837\" title=\"Screenshot of Intellidogs Website\" alt=\"Screenshot of Intellidogs Website\" src=\"http:\/\/leemakennels.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/Picture-11-300x138.png\" width=\"180\" height=\"83\" srcset=\"http:\/\/leemakennels.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/Picture-11-300x138.png 300w, http:\/\/leemakennels.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/Picture-11-1024x473.png 1024w, http:\/\/leemakennels.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/Picture-11.png 1261w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 180px) 100vw, 180px\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/intellidogs.com\/blog\/\">Intellidogs<\/a>.<\/strong>\u00a0 So this is not so much a blog as it is podcasts, but I simply cannot get enough. \u00a0Karen Wilde and\u00a0John Buskle present the podcast, and explore a variety of topics. \u00a0I love that Karen and John come from different continents and have different doggy interests, and it really adds flavour to the show. \u00a0This podcast often\u00a0accompanies\u00a0me as I do housework.
