Critiques - 1st November 2011
Chip and Winnie received fantastic critiques from Sharon Bover (Victoria) from the BT Club of NSW Championship Show 2011. Here are his critiques:

Ch Dalshoj Chippendale SE TD (Imp Dmk) - This dog has a strong otter head with a good width of skull, short strong muzzle, keen dark expression framed by small v shaped ears. His body is reasonably narrow and ribs carried well back. Good harsh coat. Did not have the angulation and movement of the first dog.

Leema Sprig O Clover - A balanced bitch with good outline, and bone. Head very expressive and feminine and like that of an otter. Good width across the skull, dark keen eye, and strong short muzzle, being accentuated with small V shaped ears hanging to the cheeks. Would prefer more angulation. Good hard dense coat and pelt.
Winnie was awarded Puppy in Show and Best Head in Show.

Chip and Clover received fantastic critiques from Geoff Blyth (Tasmania) on 3rd October 2010. They were published in the Summer 2010 "Border Bugle" (BT Club of NSW's newsletter). Here are his critiques:

Dalshoj Chippendale (Imp Dmk) - Lovely young dog oozing breed type. He has the correct otter shaped head, which is moderately broad and muzzle short and strong. He has a good underjaw with a pleasing and very typical expression. He has dark eyes and small v shaped ears which drop forward close to his cheek. Good traight front with ample bone, neat well padded feet. Lovely neck into shoulders and level topline, has has good overall balance, strong loin, easily spannable body and strong racy hind quarters. Moderately short tail. Good harsh and dense coat with a good pelt very sound movement and alert to his surroundings my pleasure to award him DCC and Best in Show.

Ch Burrowa Blue Flame NE - Racy feminine bitch with good dark eye and small v shaped ears. She has a straight front with the required racy hindquarters. Althought she lost her topline a little on the move, she still looked as though she could work all day. She has a good coat with a good pelt easily spannable. Please to award her Australian Bred in Show.

A fantastic weekend in Canberra! - 4th October 2010
Our small team had a fantastic weekend in Canberra.

  • On the 3rd of October, at the Border Terrier Club of NSW's championship show, our Chip (Ch Dalshoj Chippendale NE) took out BIS under Geoff Blyth (Tasmania).
  • Clover (Ch Burrowa Blue Flame SE) was awarded Australian Bred in Show and also was the winner of the Earthdog of the Year award.
  • The following day, at the Canberra All Breeds Kennel Club, under Robert Bartram (Craigend border terriers), Chip followed his win with a BOB. This were the final points needed for his title. Thank-you to all the judges that have recognised Chip's quality and awarded him.

Chip only arrived in Australia in March 2010, and in his seven months in Australia has accumulated:

  • 100 points to make him an Australian Champion
  • Passes in Novice Earthdog, resulting in the title of "NE" (Novice Earthdog)
  • A best in speciality show win (Border Terrier Club of NSW Championship Show 2010)
  • A runner-up best in show win (Terrier Club of SA Championship Show, May 2010, under Anne Sorraghan)
  • Two runner-up in group wins
  • Two additional passes in Senior Earthdog, making him two-thirds of the way to his SE title
